Project Log: At the construction site of the Zhushan Hydro power Plant in Shaling Village, Zhanjiang Town, Gangnan District, safety measures for the power plant structure were fully implemented earlier this year; the current phase involves the installation of the hydro power plant's turbine-generator equipment.

• The large green equipment in the frame is the synchronous generator of the hydro unit, which is being positioned for alignment with the turbine shaft flange (the red circular component in the foundation pit, which connects the turbine runner shaft to the generator rotor shaft).

• The construction team is using chain hoists and rigging to precisely position the generator, a critical step in the powerhouse equipment installation phase, which follows the completion of structural safety protection works.

• This is a key milestone in the civil-to-electrical transition of the hydropower plant construction, laying the foundation for subsequent unit commissioning and grid connection.
