In response to the surging demand for electricity across the Republic of Uzbekistan, JSC “Uzbekhydroenergo” has unveiled plans for the construction of five new hydroelectric power plants, boasting a collective capacity of 46.67MW.

A request for qualification has been released for the projects, split into five separate lots.  They are:

5MW Dukentsay hydropower plant, Tashkent region

Kamchik 2 and Kamchik 3 hydropower plants (total capacity 19.1MW), Namangan region

13.67MW Kyzildarya-Suvlisoi hydropower plant, Kashkadarya region

8.9MW Lower Koksuv hydropower plant, Tashkent region

All lots are on a public-private partnership basis.
